Parwāz-e-Rūh: The Story of a Walnut Wood Relief About Soul and Memory
Parwāz-e-Rūh is a carved walnut relief about departure, love and the flight that continues beyond the body. Read how SaifX Ebonform built the story.
A body may leave. The paths made by love can stay.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PIECE
Parwāz-e-Rūh is a meditation on departure, memory and love. It asks a gentle question: if a person is gone, does their influence have to go too? The work does not answer. It keeps the mystery open.
Four lines are carved into the wood: "Soul leaves the flesh, Love's path stay. Thinks beyond cosmos, The flight awaits."
HOW THE ARTIST TELLS THE STORY
SaifX Ebonform builds the piece as a rising movement. Carved leaves and feather-like shapes climb through directional geometry. Above them hangs an oval, a threshold beyond what we can see. The frame holds the composition in place while the forms inside seem to push past it.

HOW A GALLERY WOULD SHOW IT
Give this piece height. Hung a little above the eye line on a calm wall, its upward lines lead the viewer's gaze the way the story does. Side light brings out the depth of the carving and lets the shadows do part of the storytelling.
THE WOOD AND THE MAKING
Heritage Walnut was chosen because the wood carries time before the first cut. Its grain records years of growth, so every carved line passes through a history older than the artwork. The weight of walnut set against the idea of flight is deliberate. Parwāz-e-Rūh is an edition of 20. For more on the process, read how EBONFORM creates a collector piece.

WHAT THE COLLECTOR RECEIVES
Each collector piece is personalised for its owner, with a certificate of authenticity, plaque, EBONFORM certification paper, frame back and name plate. It is recorded for life under a unique ID, with provenance only the owner can access.
FINAL THOUGHT
Perhaps some things do not last because they are permanent. Perhaps they last because they changed someone.
