BĀZĪ-E-GHAZAB
The game was already won. Then came the anger.
I lost a game already won, in a fit of rage. My intellect completely gone, in a fit of rage. All passion turned to a bursting bubble. I lost it all in a single moment, in a fit of rage.
BĀZĪ-E-GHAZAB joins bāzī, the game, with ghazab, wrath. It is the story of a game that was never lost to an opponent, only to a temper.
THE ERUPTION
On the left, layered yellow forms burst outward in sharp, uneven angles. Green and coral shards cut through the core. Nothing sits in its place. This is the moment judgment breaks, and the eye moves fast because the feeling does.
THE LOSS
A coral zigzag races across the top toward a long yellow slab striped in blue, and a bent blue bar drops down toward the base. What was built over a long time is brought down in seconds.
THE BUBBLE
At the bottom, small round forms gather: a yellow circle with thin arcs around it, a coral disc, a blue-green block. They are the passion of the poem, once so full of fire, now fragile and already bursting.
THE WOOD
Carved in layered relief from natural Heritage Walnut, stained thin so the grain shows through every colour. The forms stand on a dark walnut panel inside a stepped light-wood frame, so every edge throws its own shadow.
EDITION OF 20
A controlled edition of 20 works. Edition 01/20 comes with its EBONFORM Certificate of Authenticity and Unique ID EF-BG26-001. The shape is shared. The grain is individual.
THE FINAL THOUGHT
Anger feels like strength while it lasts. The quiet that follows is where we learn what it cost.
A game won, then lost to wrath.
